A 79-year-old man with a pacemaker has walked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
Colin Campbell, from Dartmouth has just returned from his four day expedition to tick Machu Picchu off his bucket list.
Over the four day trek, the 79-year-old climbed 14,000ft and camped in temperatures as low as two degrees for three nights.
He completed the challenge alongside a guide, four porters and a cook.
The expedition was a challenge but Colin said it was worth it for the view when he reached the top. On one day alone, he climbed 7,000ft in seven hours.
Before the challenge, Colin didn’t ask for sponsorship or charity donations but has now said that anyone wishing to make a donation is welcome to give a contribution to Dartmouth Caring.
