The start of demolition has begun at Dartmouth’s old police station. The demolition will begin with the two wings of the building which will be taken down using the pneumatic grab currently on-site. The demolition of the main central three-storey building, will require the removal of its roof by hand. This will begin in approximately three weeks after scaffolding is placed on the sides of the main structure.
A spokesman for the demolition crew said: “It is going to take a while as we are constrained by the footprint of the building and we need to be precise.”
