The old Dartmouth Police Station next to the Flavel Arts Centre has been demolished.

A temporary police station is now in use in Townstal. This will continue to be the base of police operation in Dartmouth until a new building to house the police is completed along with six new flats.

A spokesman said: “It would have come down quicker if we had been allowed to use the big machine but we had to take down the top by ‘hand”. They should begin piling next Wednesday."
