Three people were stabbed, one with potentially serious injuries, in Dartmouth on Saturday evening, August 26th.
A police spokesman said: “Trouble broke out in and around the area of the fairground at Dartmouth Regatta just after 10pm on Saturday evening. Three people were stabbed and witnesses say one had a six-inch wound to an artery on their arm.”
The South West Ambulance HART team worked with police to treat the victims as officers searched Dartmouth for the offender. The three injured persons were taken to hospital for further treatment.
Following extensive searches by local officers a male was located and arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police are unable to release the identity of the male arrested who remains in custody. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident and would ask that they make contact via the 101 phone number.
