A 30-year-old man is facing a crown trial over a series of alleged sex offences in Dartmouth, Totnes and Paignton.

Allan Sherlock, of Parkers Close, Totnes, is accused of sexual offences involving a girl age 13 between October 23, 2009, and April 23, 2010, at Paignton.

He is further charged with offences involving a girl aged 13, also at Paignton, between April 23, 2010, and October 23, 2010; and a girl, aged 14, at Paignton, between October 23, 2010, and April 23, 2011.

He is also accused of sexual offences against a 14-year-old girl at Dartmouth, between April 23, 2011, and October 23, 2011; a 15-year-old girl at Dartmouth, between October 23, 2011, and April 23, 2012; and a 15-year-old girl at Totnes, between April 23, 2011, and October 23, 2012.

He also faces a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm at Dartmouth, between April 23, 2011, and April 23, 2012.

The case came before Torbay Magistrates Court on Wednesday, where it was committed to Exeter Crown Court for a hearing on January 13 next year.

Sherlock, who did not appear in court, was granted conditional bail.
