Bowcombe Bridge in Kingsbridge remains closed (3.20 pm) to allow police to carry out vital searches in their investigation.

The Police apologised for the inconvenience, saying there was no way to foresee the need for a second closure after the road was reopened last night.

Using an alternative route is advised at this time.

The road closure is part of an ongoing investigation into the death of a 22 year old woman.
