Knitted chicks are hidden in businesses, shops and windows in Lower Street. Higher Street and Newcomen Road in Dartmouth. If you match numbers on the chicks with your entry form, you have a chance to win a handmade chocolate prize. Once all 12 chicks have been found and the form is complete, post your entry into one of the entry boxes which can both be picked up and dropped off at post boxes at Pillars Newsagents, Cafe Alf Resco or the Dartmouth Visitor Centre. The competition runs from today, Thursday March 29, to Sunday, April 15.. The Winner will be announced on Tuesday, April 17.
For more immediate gratification there are eggs hidden in Foss Street and Union Street shops for an Easter hunt for children and seniors starting at 10am on Saturday, March 31, and ending the same day at 3pm. Forms for this hunt can be picked up at Simin Drew’s gallery on Foss Street or at The Canvas Factory, also in Foss Street.
If you are in the party mood, National Coastwatch Froward Point has an Easter Saturday Tea Party at Cafe Alf Resco on Saturday, March 31, between 2.30pm and 5pm. This fundraising event for “Eyes along the Coast” will feature homemade cakes and other goodies.
