The A38 is currently closed in both directions due to an ’ongoing incident’.

Kingsbridge Police posted, saying: "A38 closed both directions from Lee Mill to Marsh Mills due to ongoing incident. Major delays. Diversions in place but they will be gridlocked. Seek alternative route.

"With the current major incident running on the A38, traffic on other routes is horrendous. The A379 from Yealmpton has tailbacks. Please avoid if possible."

It is thought that a tanker has broken down on the A38 Eastbound entry slip road and is leaking, leading to the police creating a security cordon.

Intrix says the event is "expected to clear between 14:30 and 14:45".
