I have just finished reading your front page story about the Dartmouth Foodbank and I am absolutely disgusted.
As one who has needed the services provided by a similar scheme, which I might add is becoming evermore prevalent in this country due to the austerity measures introduced by the Government, I would respectfully suggest that having the foodbank is far better than having locals begging on the streets from our beloved tourists.
Perhaps the dissenters would prefer starvation tactics to keep our holiday season booming and put the poor back in the workhouses where they belong.
Shame on them.
