A young woman has been recognised for her volunteering role within the Dartmouth Community.

Natasha ‘Tatty’ Pettigrew is the recipient of this year’s Rotary Club of Dartmouth Unsung Hero award.

She was presented with the honour at a lunch by Club President Hilary Bastone.

Tatty impressed the club with her commitment to a number of community organisations and good causes within the town.

She is a member of the RNLI Lifeboat crew, a sea cadet volunteer and she rows with the Dartmouth Gig Club.

When not on the water, she helps students at Dartmouth Academy with their Duke of Edinburgh awards and is a school reading buddy. She is also a trustee of the town’s youth club.

During COVID, Tatty could be seen delivering meals around the town.

Hilary said it was a pleasure to present the Rotary award to Natasha, who exemplified community service at its best.
