Housebuilder Baker Estates is to showcase its plans to the community for a residential-led development which has outline planning permission for up to 450 new homes.
It would also include a local centre, areas of public open space and land reserved for employment use.
The regional housebuilder has said it will be submitting a number of "reserved matters" planning applications to South Hams District Council to seek approval for the design and layout of the development.
It said it will share the plans with the community at every stage.
Baker Estates recently bought the area of land to the south of Townstal Road, known as "land at Little Cotton Farm".
The development will include around 85 affordable homes, half of which will be for affordable rent.
The first public exhibition will take place on Saturday, March 30. At this event, Bakers Estates will show its detailed proposals for the first phase of development. This session will run from 11am to 3pm in the Sports Hall at Dartmouth Leisure Centre.
The company has said it does not anticipate commencing construction of any new homes until Spring 2020, based on planning consent.
