The Met Office has issued back to back weather warnings for heavy rain across the South Hams.
The yellow warnings are in place from noon on Friday, November 22, to 6pm on Saturday, November 23.
It’s predicted up to 40 to 50mm of rain could fall in places, with forecasters saying flooding and disruption are likely.
The warning said the worst of the weather was expected to hit highland areas of South Devon.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Showers on Friday morning will be replaced by more persistent rain during the afternoon and evening.
“The rain will be heavy at times, lasting through much of Friday night and Saturday morning before slowly dying out during Saturday afternoon.
“Around 20 to 30mm is likely to fall quite widely, and 40 to 50mm may accumulate in a few places, most likely across the higher ground of South Devon.”
