SMF PRESTON, of Glebeland, Churchstow, Kingsbridge, writes: Isn't it high time all dogs were banned from the beautiful gardens in the centre of Dartmouth? On Saturday, May 10, a man leading his dog on a five-metre extending lead was allowing his dog to crash through the flower beds, peeing and scattering earth to its heart's content. This crass and selfish attitude gives all dog owners a bad name and fuels the dislike of dogs and their owners by the public. It's not rocket science to train dogs to do their business elsewhere than in this lovely garden. I frequently see people ­bringing their dogs to 'perform' here.
