AN AUTUMNAL partial solar eclipse took place this morning (Tuesday, October 25) - but thanks to cloud cover in went unnoticed by most people.
The partial eclipse began at just after 10am this morning when the Moon started to pass in front of the sun and reached maximum eclipse at around 11am.
Despite the scudding cloud cover out photojournalist Steve Pope did manage to grab an image of the celestial event as clouds rolled across the skies.
