The final game of the season for Dartmouth’s men in the South Hams Triples league against Stoke Fleming brought a long-awaited away win 38-34.
The contest between the near neighbours was played out on a beautiful morning in the usual friendly and competitive manner.
Rink one with T Taylor, B Brehout and skip M Greenland started off really well, achieving a five-shot lead after nine ends.
Stoke came back to ease ahead by two shots after 14 ends, but Darts were not to be denied and ran out winners 17-14.
Rink two of T Deighton, S Ivey and skip R Swinden looked in trouble after six ends, being 11-4 behind, but a run of 13 shots without reply turned the match around to go 17-11 ahead.
Stoke then came back and nearly squared the match on the final end, holding three shots with Darts skip’s last wood to come.
He managed to cut the shots down to two and achieve a very close victory 21-20.
