STOKE Gabriel & Torbay Police 1st XI just can’t stop scoring and they can’t stop winning either.

Their latest conquest over Middlezoy Rovers makes it seven wins on the spin and a run of 11 games unbeaten.

Cole Harford, or Goal Harford according to the Stoke Twitter page, netted twice with strikes also coming from Joshua Haynes, Jordan Thomas and substitute Saul Vanes in the 5-1 win.

Stoke are soaring up the South West Peninsula League Premier East table as a result of this rich vein of form, sitting fifth heading into the weekend in the absence of any midweek football.

They started slowly but now boast a record of 9-2-4 and have a game or games in hand on three of the four teams ahead of them.

Next up for SGTP is a visit to Bridport FC, the seventh-placed team who won away at Torridgeside AFC in their latest outing.
