DARTMOUTH RFC dropped down to third from bottom in Devon One after they lost 50-20 at home to Exeter Saracens.
The Riversiders held second-placed Sarries to 12-all at the break, but suffered in the second half as injuries took a toll on their playing resources.
First, fly-half Kieran Wells was forced to go off nursing a head injury. Then scrum-half Josh Bruckner, just back after a two season break due to knee surgery, also left the fray.
Dartmouth hope both injured players will recover in time to play against Honiton this Saturday. They were down to just 18 fit players before kick-off against Sarries – and one of them was injured during the warm-up!
Karl Caunter and Piers Benjamin were the Dartmouth try scorers. They were also awarded a penalty try for a scrum infringement five metres from Sarries’ line. Lobb added a penalty in the second half.
