Dartmouth RFC's luck certainly hasn't improved since the Christmas break.
Last weekend's home game against the University of Exeter was cancelled on Friday due to a waterlogged pitch.
Dartmouth have three tricky games on the bounce from now on. New Cross this Saturday, University of Exeter and Plymstock Albion Oaks, all three teams are in the top three and hopefully all these games will go ahead.
Then Dartmouth will have to travel to South Molton at some point for the rearranged Junior Cup quarter-final game.
All things considered, all Dartmouth need is a fair bit of luck and a lot of good fortune and things will start looking up for DRFC.
The past players' chairman Nigel Boyd and his hard working committee members have gifted the team £700, a welcome boost for the team.
Coaches Steve Atkins, Lee Chase and Chris Chater have been struggling to train the rugby team due to the Astroturf being out of action at BRNC.
Steve Atkins sourced more portable floodlights and the past players have given the all clear for the floodlights to be purchased.
The floodlights will make training a lot easier for Dartmouth RFC to train and there should be no excuses from now on. DRFCs' next home game will be the rearranged game against the University of Exeter on February 2 with a 2.30pm kick--off.
